Free weekend #2

Brandy and I decided to stay in Gothenburg (Göteborg in Swedish) during our middle weekend in Sweden. We were going to be there on Friday, May 16th anyway on a day trip and we found out that some other students from our trip (I think maybe all of them) are going to be staying in a little studio apartment over the weekend. We decided to do that same in an effort to cut back on travel expenses to somewhere like Oslo. We're paying 305 SEK a night, which is just about $50 and we're getting a private bath and mini-kitchenette. It will be a nice and relaxing weekend and it should be pretty fun because I think Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden and there's prob. way more to do than I originally thought. I finally broke down and bought a guidebook a few days again (it was slim pickings in B&N since I think the rest of the group had already gone through their meager selection) but I did get a pretty good one. I've flagged a lot of sights to see and will be gathering and printing suggestions from the faculty leading this trip as well.

I finally finished all my semester work today and now I'm really able to focus and get excited for the fact that I'm leaving on Thursday (even though it's still a bit surreal). I'll be busy the next few days basically tying up loose ends (with school, bills, etc.) so that I won't have to deal with anything while I'm gone!
